Butler’s vision of 2025 is disturbingly close to reality. Her prose is sparse and powerful and made me immediately want to dive into the second book. I also alternated between a couple of different versions and I can highly recommend Lynne Thigpen’s narration on the audiobook. Even when I was reading the ebook, I was reading it in her voice, that’s how great an impression she made.
